Story of the QR Code tract

These days, QR Codes are all around us. These codes can be scanned with an application on a smartphone. Walk into Best Buy or another electronics store these days and you’ll see these QR Codes on the tags on the shelf for nearly every product. Some products even have the code on the box. We’ve seen these codes show up in the newspaper, on t-shirts and even on billboards.

When scanned with an app on the smart phone, the app interprets the QR Code and then generally forwards the user to a web site. We created this tract to give to the geeks that you meet. We expect it to be popular on college campuses, in electronic stores or anywhere else that geeks are found. Because we are not limited to the size of a business card, the online Gospel message is much expanded over what is on the tracts otherwise.

The idea for this tract originated when Tom Burgee or Just Truth posted a QR Code on Facebook one night that lead to a Gospel presentation. He and I got to talking about how we thought it would make a neat idea for a tract. So we proceeded with the project.
